The sand between your toes and the lapping of soft waves rolling in rhythmically. The colors in the painting are inspired by sun-warmed sand, the deep blue color of the waves further out.
 
I have used huge amounts of just water to create uncontrolled effects of drops that were allowed to freely flow and move across the canvas. Just to be able to go along with the restful movements instead of trying to control.
 
Consistency and calm is the feeling I started from when I painted and I hope that's what you feel when you stand in front of it.
